Housing and Adaptions
Within an individual’s home we can advise on the most appropriate type of adaptation to promote an individual’s safety and independence. Adaptions can be external, internal, minor such as ramps or complex that including extensions to whole building redesign.
We can liaise with contractors to establish detailed plans and quotations and oversee the whole process from assessment to recommendation to planning and building works.
Vocational Rehabilitation
We can undertake workplace, or vocational rehabilitation, where the aim is for an individual with a health condition either to return to work, start working or enabling them to continue working. We can assess an individual’s workplace, their role, any barriers they may be experiencing and find methods or equipment to help with this.
This may include assisting with finding a way to manage a client’s condition at work, equipment provision or adaptations to buildings, additional training and helping employers manage an individual’s return to work.
Equipment
We can assess an individual’s ability/inability to perform activities of daily living, providing a baseline assessment of an individual’s needs and can often indicate the nature of an individual’s illness or disability and the likely long-term implications of this.
Depending upon the activities of daily living that an individual is having difficulty with we can provide recommendations for equipment or adaptations or a rehabilitation programme that will promote the individual’s independence and enable them to perform these daily tasks to the best of their ability.
Moving and Handling
We can provide a moving & handling assessment within an individual’s own home. During the assessment we will look at the individual abilities and needs, the environment, their carers and the methods and equipment currently being used.
Following as assessment, we will be able to provide guidance on best practice, techniques and equipment to ensure everyone remains safe, aren’t subjected to any unnecessary risks and the individual maintains as much as independence as possible.

Sian is a qualified Occupational Therapist with over 20 years’ experience, working in a variety of organisations including the NHS, social care and a university. Each of these settings have given her a unique perspective that she brings together to assist a wide range of complex clients.
She enjoys working closely with individuals to achieve successful outcomes and helping to improve their quantity of life. Taking a holistic view point she ensures all work is made with the individual needs at the heart of all decision to be made.
